“ I came for the sides and got a chicken sandwich too. The holy grail. The sandwich was delicious. Lots of flavor, textures all things that make me happy. Don't let the jalapenos deter you. Even with it off, I didn't find it spicy or overwhelming. Let's talk about the sides....I got the collard greens....delish...didn't even need pepper sauce. The dressing with gravy .... amazing! I had mixed in the remaining gravy I ate off the top in the pic....but I promise it was there. Haha! And the sweet potato casserole.......wow if I could get a bucket of that and a spoon, I'd be set. Brownies delicious too. Perfectly made. Only downfall was forgetting to order yeast rolls. But it's okay...next time. Definitely recommend for traditional good southern cooking. ”

The owner, Melinda is super sweet and knows how to fill our bellies with all the goodies. If I could give it 10 stars I would, keep up the good work and passion :) ”
“ Pictured is chicken dinner, green beans, Mac n cheese and a side of cornbread dressing and gravy. Out of almost everything else (went around 7pm) -- understandable to decrease food waste. Not at all friendly but the food was awesome, even cold and been sitting out (think of it like picnic food?!) At these prices it's a wonder they had anything left. Highly recommend if you need good home cooked food at a great price. Some casual dining in tables and chairs and a couple tables outside (metal, no cushions) on the side of th building. Is in the same building as the gas station. ”

“ Baby when I tell you that I finished my plate satisfied! I definitely meant that! I honestly never heard of this place but I was searching for something different for lunch and this came up in my recommendations and I gave it a try! I ordered me the dinner for 1 with one entree and 3 sides. I picked baked chicken (white meat), seasoned Brussels sprouts, collard greens, traditional cornbread, and sweet potato souffle. The baked chicken was so moist and flavorful and it was one big piece of chicken lol. The greens and sprouts were really done well and this was the first time I’ve had greens from a restaurant that weren’t salty. The cornbread was traditional, similar to how it was made from scratch back in the day..no sugars added of course. Now that souffle...baby I’ll break my diet any day to comeback for that because yes indeed, ya’ll did that! As a future food critic, you guys get a 10/10 l! ”
